How Dymentions Generated 2,313 OpenTable Reservation Actions for Meximodo

Meximodo needed a dependable way to generate reservation intent across two New Jersey locations without sacrificing efficiency. Dymentions used always-on Meta campaigns, video-first creative, hyper-local targeting, seasonal promotions, retargeting, and continuous optimization to drive measurable OpenTable actions at controlled acquisition costs.

Meximodo

Meximodo is a multi-location Mexican restaurant brand serving Jersey City and Metuchen. The campaign required a location-specific acquisition strategy capable of maintaining steady reservation intent while supporting major dining occasions such as Valentine’s Day, the Super Bowl, and National Margarita Day.

The Challenge

The team needed to drive measurable reservation intent without relying on vanity metrics. At the same time, OpenTable created an attribution limitation because the advertising data could track the reservation click or action, but not reliably verify every completed booking or seated diner.

Jersey City and Metuchen required separate audience refinement, messaging, and budget decisions. OpenTable limitations prevented direct verification of every completed reservation after the ad-driven reservation action.

The campaign needed to prioritize reservation intent and return, not simply increase clicks or website sessions. High-value dining occasions required targeted promotional pushes without disrupting the always-on acquisition engine.

Continuous campaigns created a stable base of reservation intent rather than relying only on one-off promotions.

The Solution

How We Built Always-On Reservation Intent

Always-On Conversion Campaigns. Continuous campaigns ran with clear reservation objectives to maintain a steady flow of high-intent traffic. Video-First Creative. Dynamic video ads were prioritized because they outperformed static creative in generating reservation intent.

Hyper-Local Geo-Targeting. Separate Jersey City and Metuchen campaigns enabled more relevant local messaging and budget allocation. Seasonal and Event Campaigns. Dedicated campaigns supported Valentine’s Day, the Super Bowl, and National Margarita Day to capture high-demand dining moments.

Engagement and Retargeting Support. Engagement campaigns and warm-audience retargeting were used to broaden reach and reinforce conversion-focused activity. Continuous Testing and Budget Scaling. Creative refreshes, audience adjustments, and incremental budget changes were used to improve efficiency while increasing volume.

Results

The campaign generated 2,313 tracked OpenTable reservation actions at an average reported cost of $5.71. Across the two locations, the client calculated ROAS ranging from 5.1X to 5.7X. In February, reservation actions increased from roughly 632 to 885 while cost per action improved from about $7.61 to $6.08, even as budget increased by 16.7%.

Additional performance: $13,216 reported ad spend, 1.49M impressions, 15,589 clicks generated, and 1,193 jersey city actions at $4.22.
